Welcome back, Richest fans! In 2018, the world was treated to the opening of a brand-new bridge. The Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge. Not only is it worth billions, but it’s one of the longest bridges in the world! It’s also one of the most expensive! Today, we’re going to take an in-depth look at the HZMB. We’ll see how it was built. Especially how much steel and concrete was involved. We’ll also look at the various construction costs and who funded this massive bridge. On top of this, we have a number of high-profile bridges around the world with fascinating tales to tell. All of which hold world records!

Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. After going over the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge, we’ll take a gander at a couple of other Chinese bridges. One of which is the Danyang Kunshan Grand Bridge, the official longest bridge in the world! There’s also the incredible Hangzhou Bay Bridge that’s one of the longest sea-based bridges! But we won’t be looking at only China. We have a couple of bridges from the rest of the world as well. Such as the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana, US. It’s the oldest bridge on this list. We’ll see just how much cash it cost originally, as well as the massive fee for recent safety improvements. We then have the Banpo Bridge in South Korea. In particular, the stunning Moonlight Rainbow Bridge fountain! Finally, we’ll look at the pricey bridge that never came to be. One that was spearheaded by former Mayor of London and current Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
